Using social proof to increase sales is a proven tactic many retailers use.

Almost every customer looks to product reviews before purchasing to make sure they are getting what they paid for. No one wants to spend money on something that doesn’t work or will break over time, etc. When new visitors see that many other people have bought this product from your site and are satisfied with their purchase, it gives them a sense of security. They now know you and your store are reliable and trustworthy.

Another way to build trust is to get more shares on social media. If everyone is talking about your product and recommending it, then most likely, their followers and friends will become curious and check out what you’re selling.
